The Wentworth Group. was founded in 1985 to provide the highest quality property management services to clients throughout the East Coast. In 1997, Wentworth partnered with FirstService Corporation of Toronto, Canada. A Message from the President

This is our 22nd year of business at Wentworth, and we are very excited about our new commitment to training. Toward that end, we currently have a state of the art training center in new York and are developing two additional facilities in New Jersey and Virginia, where our employees and clients will be able to get hands-on training in physical plant, financial and legislative issues affecting building management.

We are also very excited about our recent organizational changes. In our continual effort to better serve our clients, we have now organized our company along specialty lines. Our five specialty teams include:

High-Rise Specialty Team

Wentworth currently manages over 200 high-rises in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. High-rises require a unique knowledge of physical plant, personnel management, inventory control and preventative maintenance. Wentworth's un-matched experience in this specialty field makes it the unquestionable leader in high-rise management in the mid-Atlantic region.

Lifestyle Specialty Team

Wentworth's Lifestyle Specialty Team is led by Steven Brumfield, Regional Vice President. Wentworth currently manages over 100 active adult communities in the mid-atlantic region. Ed's team has unique knowledge in active adult management such as providing activity directors, UCIOA / HOPA, gatehouse procedures, Bingo and other games of chance, and Adult Protective Services.

Home Builders Specialty Team

James Magid, Regional Vice President, leads the Home Builder Specialty Team. Wentworth currently works with over a dozen of the largest regional and national builders. Wentworth has created this specialty team to better serve the unique demands required in a new home development including budget development and consulting, closing assistance and new homeowner welcome packages, transition consulting, and marketing assistance.

Mitchell Lama Specialty Team

This Specialty Team was created to service the unique demands required by Mitchell Lama Housing in New York City. Donna Manton, Director of Mitchell Lama Housing, leads this Specialty Team. Wentworth is the largest Mitchell Lama Housing manager in New York City and the leader in this very technically demanding field. We have long-term professional relationships with the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and the Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR). To name a few, we offer board educational seminars on tax structure, income affidavits, surcharge billings and shelter rent.

In addition to our development of specialty teams, Wentworth continues to invest in new technology to better serve our clients. WentworthConnect ™ is a proprietary web based management system that enables us to provide services to our clients that are unmatched in the industry. It is truly revolutionary to Association / Cooperative management and is only available to Wentworth clients. For example, our system allows us to:

  • Send a broadcast alert to all or a group of residents in a community with one phone call (i.e., notify residents of election meeting reminders, a plumbing emergency, snow removal status, lost children, etc.) Yes, with one phone call!
  • Utilize Work Order and violations processing that include color before and after photographs imbedded in the letters and Board reports. The Board may view the status of a particular violation or all violations on the internet.
  • Have a propriety community website which can is easily updated and maintained by in-house personnel.
  • Provide access to Board members to review financial statements on the internet.
  • Provide resident and gate security with digital signature and photographs - stored on the Internet.

Mr. Epstein is Chief Executive Officer of The Wentworth Group, Inc., a holding company for Wentworth Property Management Corp., Worthmore Construction & Maintenance, Armstrong Management Services, IncArco Wentworth Management Corp., and Cooper Square Realty.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Epstein had been Chief Financial Officer of Wentworth for the past 16 years, where he was responsible for the company's financial systems. Mr. Epstein was an original founder of Wentworth.

Mr. Epstein graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1984 with Honors. In 1985, Mr. Epstein successfully passed the Certified Public Accounting exam.

Michael Mendillo is the President ofThe Wentworth Group, Inc.

With more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of real estate management, Mr. Mendillo has been instrumental in Wentworth's strategic growth initiatives, which includes a series of acquisitions.  Through his leadership, Wentworth has created a corporate culture that implements a team-approach to delivering exceptional customer service consistently. 

Mr. Mendillo has spoken nationally on leadership, service and corporate culture to industry trade associations, service companies and business schools including William Paterson University and New York University’s Stern School of Business.  He has spoken at the Community Associations Institute (CAI) CEO MC Retreats and at the Institute of Real Estate Management’s (IREM) Tri-State Conferences. 

Mr. Mendillo sits on CAI’s National Board for The Foundation for Community Association Research.  He also serves on the Advisory Board for William Paterson University’s Forward Thinking Program.  Prior to joining Wentworth, Mr. Mendillo was the Founder and CEO of Mandell Investment Inc., a real estate investment management firm.  He graduated from William Paterson University in 1987 with a B.S. in Business.

Frank Peditto is a Senior Financial Executive with over 25 years of experience in both for profit and non-profit companies. Mr. Peditto joined Wentworth Property Management as CFO in February, 2004. As the CFO, he is responsible for the financial operations of Wentworth and its affiliated companies. Responsibilities include the preparation of consolidated financial statements, budgets, cash management and business analysis. He supervises Corporate Accounting and is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures with regard to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Prior to Wentworth, Frank was the CFO at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. In this role, he developed the financial reporting infrastructure and managed the Finance, Information Technology, Risk Management and Human Resources functions. Before the Kimmel Center, Frank spent twenty-one years in the Spectacor organization, rising to Vice President of Finance for SMG, a company that manages arenas, stadiums and convention centers in the US and Europe. Frank has a BS in Accounting from LaSalle University.

Mr. Bartikofsky is President of Wentworth Property Management. He joined the firm as a community manager in 1986 and soon after accepted the position of Regional Vice President, overseeing the Philadelphia Region and providing guidance and support to the area managers and clients. In 2004 he was promoted to Executive Vice President and was responsible for monitoring services delivered and client relation throughout the company. In 2008 he was promoted to President of Wentworth Property Management; his advancement in the company mirrors the growth and development of the organization.

He is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), where he obtained the highly regarded CPM® (Certified Property Manager) designation, as well as a member of the Community Associations Institute (CAI).  Mr. Bartikofsky graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with B.S. in Sociology.

Ms. Palmieri joined the Wentworth organization in 1995 as a community manager.  After seven years of a successful track record working with a multitude of Wentworth clients and associates, she was promoted to Director of Client Development in 2002.   In 2005 she was promoted again to Vice President of Business Operations.    In her current capacity, Ms. Palmieri works very closely with the Wentworth Operations Team in streamlining the company's operations.  In addition, Ms. Palmieri monitors the roll out of all new programs in order to ensure Wentworth's success in delivering what we promise.

Ms. Palmieri earned a B.S. in Business from Georgian Court University and has obtained the AMS® (Association Management Specialist) designation from the Community Association Institute (CAI).

Lawrence Sauer is Vice President of Business Development for Wentworth Property Management Corp. where he is responsible for new business development, marketing and public relations.

Mr. Sauer joined Wentworth in 1995 as a Regional Vice President in charge of a region located in northern New Jersey and southern New York State, compromised of 32 community associations totaling approximately 12,000 units. He was promoted to Vice President, Business Development in 2007. Mr. Sauer's background includes 20 years of experience in community association management, conversions, specialized consulting and the formation of new communities for developers.

Previously, Mr. Sauer owned Professional Association Management Services, Inc. (PAMS) along with PAMS Realty and PAMS Maintenance Services, all of which specialized in management and maintenance services to common interest realty associations.

Steven Y. Brumfield joined Wentworth Property Management as Vice President, Operations in 2007. In his role, Steven enhances operational practices as well as helps strengthen relationships between Wentworth and its extensive client base, with a primary focus on the national active adult community segment of the industry. He is responsible for the direct supervision of the Lifestyle Specialty Team’s community managers, executive directors and active adult specialists.

Prior to joining Wentworth, Steven was the Assistant Director of Community Associations for Toll Brothers Inc., a nationwide luxury home builder. In this capacity, he oversaw the formation and management of several hundred developing community associations in twenty-two states, and provided consulting services to Toll Brothers’ community associations and their Members. Prior to joining Toll Brothers, Steven worked as a Senior Property Manager for a property management firm in northern Virginia, and as a property manager for a property management firm in central Florida. He holds numerous industry designations, has been licensed by the state of Florida as a real estate broker and community association manager, and is certified in California as a community association manager. Prior to his career in property management, Steven spent several years as Vice President of a family-owned custom home building company.

Steven currently serves on the National Board of Trustees for the Community Associations Institute (CAI), and the Board of Directors of CAI’s Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley Chapter, as well as several committees and Task Forces. He is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

David Orr joined Wentworth Property Management Corporation as Vice President, Client Relations in 2007.  In his role, David manages and helps strengthen relationships between Wentworth and its extensive client base, with a primary focus on the active adult community segment of the industry. David’s responsibilities include business development and operational support within the Lifestyle Specialty Team.


Prior to joining Wentworth Property Management Corp, David was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the Metro New York/New Jersey division of Pulte Homes, managing three highly successful Del Webb communities located in New Jersey.  He played a key role in helping to grow the New York/New Jersey division from an initial group of six employees to more than 200 professionals at its peak, and was its “Top Gun President” for seven years. David spent a decade with Pulte Homes, beginning as a Sales Manager of their Central New Jersey Division.  He eventually became their Director of Sales before taking on the role of Vice President of Sales & Marketing.  Prior to Pulte, he was a Sales Manager for Kleiner, Litwok & Kleiner.  David began his career in the building industry a Sales Manager for K. Hovnanian Homes in their North Central division.

Mr. Corless is a Vice President, Lifestyle Services of Wentworth Property Management.  In this capacity he facilitates educational seminars and provides support and guidance to active adult clients and associates. Mr. Corless also provides budget, planning and construction related consulting services to national home builders.

Mr. Corless joined Wentworth in 1998 as a Regional Director.  In 2000 he was promoted to Regional Vice President where he developed and oversaw a portfolio comprised exclusively of active adult communities. Mr. Corless was then promoted to Vice President, Lifestyle Services in 2006.  Prior to joining Wentworth, Mr. Corless was Director of Contract Management with a large real estate management firm and has 15 years experience with asset and real estate management.

Mr. Corless graduated from Farleigh Dickenson University with a degree in Finance. He is an active member in the New Jersey Chapter of CAI, a member of the New Jersey Senior Housing Council and a licensed New Jersey Real Estate Broker.

Mr. Magid joined the Wentworth Group in March 1997 as Regional Vice President of our Western New Jersey Region. His region now extends from Bridgewater, NJ to Palmyra, NJ and includes several communities in eastern PA. Mr. Magid came to Wentworth with over ten years of professional experience in the Community Association Management Industry. Prior to joining Wentworth, Mr. Magid held the position of Director of Property Management with a respected Community Association Management firm.

Mr. Magid is a graduate of Elmira College where he received his BA degree. Mr. Magid is active in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware Chapters of CAI and obtained his PCAM designation in 1993 and CMCA designation in 1996. Mr. Magid currently serves on the New Jersey Chapter of CAI Board of Trustees.

Ms. Mulfino has been with the Wentworth Group since 1986, with an initial responsibility to administer all property protocols and operational procedures. Having been promoted to General Manager in 1989 she was responsible for overseeing the property management and maintenance operations and worked closely in the areas of insurance and financial controls.

As Senior Vice President at the Valley Forge corporate office, Ms. Mulfino actively supervises regional association management operations including several site offices in Pennsylvania and Delaware, while still being involved with development and implementation of management protocols for the company.

Ms. Mulfino graduated from Rosemont College with a BA in English and has successfully completed numerous AMA courses. She has received her CMCA designation and is a licensed Pennsylvania Real Estate Salesperson.

Gary Olsen joined Wentworth Property Management Corporation in 2008 as its Director of Client Accounting Services. In this role, Gary oversees all the accounting staff and client accounting operations in Wentworth’s West Long Branch, New Jersey and Valley Forge, Pennsylvania offices.

Gary possesses more than 25 years of experience as a financial professional. Before joining Wentworth, Gary was Manager of Treasury Services for TMP Directional Marketing. Prior to that, he was President of DWO and Associates, LLC. Gary is a graduate of Pace University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management.

Ms. Beckett is the Senior Controller, Client Accounting of Wentworth Property Management Corporation.

Ms. Beckett began working with Wentworth in 1993, starting as a staff accountant and worked her way her current position.

Prior to her tenure with Wentworth, Ms. Beckett was an Accounting Manager for the Rouse Corporation for six years.

Ms. Beckett graduated from LaSalle University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 1988. In 1986 Ms. Beckett graduated from Camden County Community College with and associates degree in Management.
